GPA or Classes?

In my last post, I asked whether I should take
AP Art history
AP Micro-economics
AP US II
Honors LAL III
Honors Physics
Honors Precalculus
Honors Anatomy and physiology
I’m thinking if the premed field and because I have GPA issues, I am afraid of taking AP Bio or AP Chem my junior year. My gpa freshman year was a 93.625 and sophomore was a 96.2 weighted. Should I just take AP Bio and take a risk or should I just keep this schedule, try to bring my gpa over a hundred junior year then take AP Bio and AP Physics my Senior year. Thanks and please let me know.

If you want to do pre-med, then definitely take AP Bio or Chem at some point during HS. (make sure you take some version of Bio, CHem and Physics during HS).
Also you will see if you like AP Bio/CHem and can do well in it. If you hate it or do poorly, then perhaps pre-med/medicine is not for you.

The GPA for pre-med is no different than any other major in HS…what you need to worry about is preparing for all the science classes you have to take in college…you want to do that by taking AP Bio or AP Chem over Anatomy. Top GPA is needed in college for pre med, not in HS.

For pre-med, it is often better to go a to a good but not tippy top college because itis important to 1) have a good college GPA and 2) save $$ for med school
