<p>i want to know that gpa is measured on the basis of which classes?
does it includes 12th class marks also?</p>

<p>and if a student scores about 2200 in sat but his gpa is low about 2.2 will he be given scholarship in any colleges through sat?</p>

<p>The post may not have answered your question on what classes the GPA counts.
Your grade point average takes into account all your grades from 9th to 12th. There is no such thing where they only view your senior year marks. Although they certainly expect that you have a positive linear trend in terms of academics through ascending grade levels. Additionally, make sure that your counselor addresses the grading policy and explain why you have a 2.2 (because that needs to be cleared up). Very few scholarships base their competition over SATs alone. You will have to be quite particular of your situation if you feel that your gpa should be respectable considering the system you are currently affiliated with.</p>

<p>There seems to be a lot of GPA related queries on the Indian forum all of a sudden. </p>

<p>Anyhow, if your school doesn’t officially calculate a GPA, you need to leave it blank.</p>

<p>@contradict is right. There are schools here in the u.s. that do not do gpa at all. Every university accepts this, and evaluation is done by standardized testing-if scores are available.</p>
