GPA Question ?

Hello,

How does the GPA reporting to colleges works ?

I mean, say I got

A, A & C Grades in my First Semester
A, A & A Grades in my Second Semester

So will they count the cumulative GPA or the only last semester's gpa ?

Different high schools produce different transcripts that all include different things. Some have each 9-weeks’ grade, some have just each semester, some include the final exam grade. At my school the transcript includes just the first semester (average of first two 9 weeks and the exam… less emphasis on the exam), and the second semester.

Colleges will then recalculate the GPA according to their own system. Each college is different… just one example: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/university-florida/383821-gpa-calculator.html

They surely won’t look at the second semester grade without also looking at the first semester grade. They’re both equally important.

I’m sick my GPA is 2.0! What college will take me as a transfer? UGH!!
