GPA question

Well here's my story basically:

Last year(my freshman year of HS) I lived overseas and went to a well known college prep school that is extremely difficult and highly competitive. I had about a 3.3 gpa on the year. Now this year I moved back and this first semester have a 4.0. That puts me at a 3.65 cumulitive unweighted(havent take any AP's anyways). That puts me out of the top 10% at my public school here in the states however. I know if i keep up my grades here that will climb back up but I am still worried. Will that affect how colleges look at my gpa and rank when i graduate from this public school worse because it is lower even though it's affected by my grades at another school? For example, say I get a 4.0 the rest of the time here, will they see that as a 4.0 or as whatever it is from my other school? Sorry if that's confusing but it's late and I was just wondering.

Thanks for any help

Yeah it's confusing; had to read it twice.
ok, im in a similar situation as yours. i have been in an international school american-based and had a 3.333 since it's very hard and competitive freshmen year

now i have a 4.0 soph yr. w/out any aps or honors. i suppose adcoms know why that happened. former school is very competitive and hard, e tc etc. i dont think u should worry a lot. they wont see your current 4.0 based on your former school. 4.0 from now it's a 4.0 from your latter school. so dont worry a lot. i am also quite shaky, but try to pull up your grades and show an upward trend - that will impress adcoms that although you had a hard time in your former school, you are still paying attention and doing your best now.

dont worry. we're basically on the same boat. Lol
