ok..my gpa is pathetic...... it is a 3.58UW (although my school doesnt do weighted gpa when i tryed to reconfigure it [.5 for honors classes and 1 for AP...i got well above a 4.0])

my question is ..when collges see my gpa they will see that i took the hardest possible courseload at my highschool (2 languages, an amherst college course, all the APs except the ones in languages i dont take, and AP enviromental sci) ....will that help my gpa and make it comparable at a top school?

I think that depends on what you consider a "top school." For Ivies, yes, that will hurt your chances because almost everyone who gets into an Ivy has a hard courseload.

Really, please lighten up. Your life will not be over if you don't get into a top school. If not getting into Harvard or some other "top school" is the worst thing that ever happens to you then you will have a pretty good life. Keep this in perspective. 10 years from now no one will care at all what your high school GPA was, but they will care if you have values, you care about other people and can make a difference in this world.

^^The OP didn't say 'for HYPSM', the OP said 'for colleges' (not in that exact wording, but nevertheless, the OP asked about colleges, so try evaluate not solely based on five of the most selective colleges in the nation)
