If you retook a class, does the original grade count in your GPA when you apply to college? For example, my friend took AP Bio, and got a C first semester and dropped the class. She then retook it junior year, and got an A both semesters. Will the C be factored into her GPA for the colleges? Thanks

I don't think the C would be factored in (wouldn't make sense to), but it's possible. This sort of issue isn't brought up much... hm.

it depends on the school i think but at my school, the retake grade doesn't replace the previous grade but i pretty sure colleges do like to see a student have a determination and perseverence to retake a class and improve from a C to an A.

At my high school they do "grade forgiveness" When you retake it, it deletes the original grade you got and its replaced with the new one.
