If you're applying for law school admission during your senior year, what is the latest semester that will count? Is it like undergrad where you submit your first semester senior year grades in a mid year report, or not?

Well, it's possible to get into a law school before you get your grades.

I also don't think you're obligated to send them. Me? I'm planning on working as hard as always in the fall, and hope a pretty fall transcript will help sway some decisions.

CM is right: it depends. Some law schools are willing to do some admissions before the fall grades are in, in which case semester 6 (spring junior year) will be the last set. Some law schools wait until the spring, in which case semester 7 is the last; some of those that are willing to jump in the fall might hold off until spring on your specific application. Sometimes, you will get put on a waitlist that extends into the summer, in which case all semesters, including semester 8, will matter.
