GPA Question?

<p>So i just finished my first semester and got my report card. I received
AFM(math class) B
APUSH B
APES B
Broadcasting class A
AP Bio B
Research methods(honors) A</p>

<p>my school uses this point system
Grades AP Honors Other
a 6 5 4
b 5 4 3
c 4 3 2
d 3 2 1</p>

<p>so anyways my problem is i had a 4.0 weighted last year and my weighted gpa including this semester is a 3.94. i dont understand how my gpa could have droped considering the points i recieved this semester. Im going to talk to my counselor tomorrow, but i just wanted to know if this made sense to anybody.</p>

APUSH B is a 4,
APES B is a 4,
Broadcasting class A is a 4,
AP Bio B is a 4, and
Research methods(honors) A is a 4.</p>

<p>Your 1st semester weighted GPA is the average of 3, 4, 4, 4, 4, and 4, or 3.833. This would pull down your previous 4.0.</p>

<p>The chart i tried to make above is a little hard to read.
AP a=6 b=5 c=4 d=3
honors a=5 b=4 c=3 d=2
other/regular a=4 b=3 c=2 d=1</p>

<p>Assuming you have the point system correct, it seems that the school has made a mistake w/ your GPA.</p>
