I attend an extremely competitive high school in California. If any have heard of Foothill Technology High School, its ranked in the top 1% of high schools in California.

I was wondering if colleges truly look at the prestige of the high school that you came from rather than the simple GPA and rank. For example:

Would a student with a 4.0 weighted GPA and a top 3% ranking have the higher advantage against

a 4.0 weighted GPA and a class rank of 40/250 (20%) <------------my current status

Assume similar SAT/ ACT scores. I'm just wondering about RANK :)
