GPA recalculation procedure

HI,
I am a senior and Have a GPA of 3.5 and taken five AP courses this year and taken several honors courses last year. I could not take any advanced classes in my 9th or 10th grade because I came from India.
Now, how Is GT going to calculate my GPA and what do you guys think my weighted GPA would be. will they also consider that I could not able to take good courses because I was from other country?. Please help me.

For each honors and AP course you take, a 'weight' of 0.5 will be given to
the grade you receive. i.e. a 4.0 = 4.5 and 3.0 = 3.5 etc.

From this you can figure out the GPA and GT takes just about everything
into consideration. the fact you are taking so many advanced courses
while being straight out of India probably weighs in your favor, but then
again, there IS a huge Indian population here...

What about 9th and tenth grade pre-IB classes? On DD's high school transcript they are weighted like the IB classes at 5. They aren't just honors, but I don't think they are officially IB yet. Also, what about the IB Theory of Knowledge and Inquiry Skills clesses? Are they even counted?

appu are you still in india? How come you have GPA? The majority of us have percentage scores... and even then the scoring rigor is different so you can't just convert them to a 5 point or 4 point scale simply by dividing.

No, I'm currently studying in Norcross High School, GA. I finished my 9th and 10th grade in India. the people in here converted my previous grades to american system. what do you guys think I will get for 3.5 GPA.

well that really depends on the number of honors courses you've got. and if you've taken any community college courses, they count those too. but this is where i got confused yesterday, b/c they told me that they add those in there with the .5, but do they also add in the grade in the class? or is it just in there as honors credit. i'm confused

ok to clear up what i said. they do add in college courses taken during 9th-11th grades (includes summer before 12th) so yeah if you took any of those appu, you'd get more credit
