gpa rescoring

My high school gpa scale is a 7 pt scale:
100-93=A
92-85=B
etc.

Now, I know most schools are on a 10 pt scale:
100-90=A
etc.

Would colleges convert my gpa?

Because if they do I would have a 4.1-2 instead of a 3.5.

Furthermore, do colleges take into account how challenging one's school is? Also, how do they decide the "challenge level" of one's school?

1) They would convert your GPA to +s and -s depending on whether or not numbers show up on your transcript. Otherwise, they don't care. But colleges like Stanford, would calculate your GPA similar to that anyway.

2) Most colleges have relationships with certain schools, so they know the depth/caliber of the student bodies. In addition your school sends a school report along with your application. On that is the average GPA, grading system, and your rank.
