Do you guys know if I can round my GPA up in the common app? I know the colleges are gonna recalculate it based on your transcript, but just checking.
For example, if you have a GPA of 3.694 (what’s on your school transcript), can you round it up to 3.7? It’s like a difference of 0.006…
I’m just asking cuz 3.6 and 3.7 is a really big difference haha

If you had a 3.964 you wouldn’t round it up to a 4.0. I think you should play it safe and keep it as a 3.694.
Rounding GPAs is misrepresenting your grades. Do not do it.
actually i asked my counselor about this, and she said that it’s ok… I’m still not so sure though!
I really hope it’ll be okay to round up, cuz i feel like lot of the really good schools’ cut off lines are 3.7. I think many count 3.7-4.0 as A.
