GPA technicalities

my school counts an average of 93 or over as a 4.0. They say they count an A as a 4.0 because our school is “hard.”
Do other high schools count just A’s as a 4.0. or do they not? Or do colleges use their own grading systems when they see our grades?

a 93%+ is usually an A anyways. Colleges won't get your percentages, they'll only get your letter grades from each semester. Colleges will recalculate your gpa based on your letter grades, not your percentages. Then again, I'm not familiar with the grading system your school uses. I'm not sure if I answered the question you were asking.
