GPA to transfer to Penn State

Anyone know what GPA you need to transfer out of state to Penn?

Looks like the minimum is 2.0
[Application Requirements: Transfer Students: Penn State University Undergraduate Admissions](Admissions Requirements for Transfer Students - Undergraduate Admissions)

^^^ bottom of page it has “general Eligibility” for 2-yr and 4-yr

More specifically, the university park campus, though. I am not sure what the deal is with that, because I read somewhere it says you need only 18 credit hours, but somewhere else it says you need 2 years before you can transfer, so I’m not so sure…

I guess you need 2 years, so would at least 48 credit hours suffice by the time you transfer?

From the schools website it states you need 2 years so that would be about 48 credits. I do not know for sure but I would go by what the website says. Or you could call.

Heres what the site has for 4 yr University Park (the minimum GPA is different for University Park)

A minimum 2.5 GPA is required for transfer admission to University Park.
Applicants interested in transferring to University Park must have completed two years (4 semesters) of full-time college coursework at another institution and/or another Penn State campus by the time of transfer to be eligible for admission.

Note it says “by the time of transfer”

Yep, that’s what I found too, but look at this, [Information for Transfer Students: Penn State University Undergraduate Admissions](http://admissions.psu.edu/info/future/transfer/)

^^ That’s all I don’t understand, but it does specifically say that you need 2 years by the time you transfer at University Park on that other link, so I am going to go with that.

I suppose that University Park just requires more. You can call to double check.

Yea, I guess. Thanks a lot!
