9th grade GPA- 3.96
10th grade- 3.83
11th grade-3.53
12th (mid term)-3.3
As you can see, my GPA's have fallen! How bad is it? The thing is, I was an IGCSE student and scoring was comparatively easy. But doing IB for the last two years, my GPA is 3.53 and 3.3!
To what extent will this affect my chances of getting in?
I'm thinking NYU ED2..

what major are you thinking about NYU?

Stern. Management.

No way youre getting in.

Why is that? I tried my level best to get back up and my IB predicted grades are 36 or 37 on 42

Ohh, and my GPA cumulative for high school is a 3.7!

Although your cumulative gpa isnt that bad, downward trend generally doesnt look good…

You also never told us your act or sat score.

ACT- 30
IB predicted grades - 39/45
IGCSE grades- 7A*s and 1A
ECs- International Symposium, Student council(since 6th grade, was also head of the student council in 10th grade), MUNs(won best delegate award once), Sailing, Certified scuba diver, Intermediate guitar player
Organizing a large public event on the 15th for differently abled children…it might probably come in the papers…
Sports- Best handball player award, Represented my school in various handball competitions…and won a lot of medals in 9th and 10th grade.

That downward trend and your ACT score are going to be huge weaknesses for NYU Stern. Just look at the school’s stats here: <a href=“Bloomberg - Are you a robot?”>Bloomberg - Are you a robot?;

The 75th percentile scores around 1510 on the SAT (out of 1600, many schools like Stern only take your CR and M scores into account) and 34 on the ACT. You will be near the bottom of their admits based on academic profile alone.

I would definitely characterize NYU Stern as a reach for you.

In addition, if we look at NYU as a whole, the typical unweighted GPA of admits is around an A- or 3.5. However, half of your grades fall below that GPA, and your overall transcript will matter more than your cumulative GPA. We can expect the typical UW GPA of NYU Stern admits to be even higher. Therefore, NYU Stern is going to be a reach or far reach for you.

Okay! Thanks a lot…How about UMich? What would be a good fit?
