I messed up bad basically by freshman and sophmore year, and got an 84 average at the end of soph year. However, during Jr year I’ve really stepped it up, and through first semester I have a 92, second semester I’m aiming for a 93, and for my first semester of senior year I’m aiming for 94-95. My SAT is very good, got a 2100 on first attempt, taking it again in may and will probably get a 2200 on that.
My extracurriculars are fine as well, an internship over the summer, an outdoors leadership class where I was certified in Wilderness First Aid, and over this summer I’ll be taking college courses at Emory. I’ve also done 3 years of track and field and cross country and am now a captain of the team.
To sum it up, do I still have a good chance at getting into a selective college despite horrible freshman and sophmore grades? (Bucknell, Lehigh, Wesleyan, UMich, BU, Colby) are just some that I’m looking at right now.
If it matters, I go to one of the top/most challenging high schools in the country, not sure if colleges care about that or not though
