Hi, I'm new here and I was wondering how the whole unweighted and weighted GPA works.. how to find out what I have weighted. Thank you

Depends on your school. Some schools weight AP/Honors courses.

A 4.0 in most schools is an 'A' in a class.

But if, for example, your school weights AP/Honors 1 point, an 'A' would in those classes would then count as a 5.0.

An Unweighted GPA disregards these weights and is thus based on a scale from 0-4.0

I have a question regarding that as well. My school has a different GPA scale, we use the 100 point scale instead of the 4 point scale.

My GPA is also weighted, meaning the average of my percentages on the 100 percent scale is multiplied by 1.2. Logically you would divide by 25 to obtain my weighted GPA but 111/25 is 4.44. I don't think my GPA is that high, I was expecting more like a 4.1 or something. Help me please, how do I convert it?

but 111/4 is 4.44.

You mean 111/25 = 4.44

And yes, your conversion is correct.

Sweet! Are you serious dude? So where do you think I could get in, unfortunately last year I had a 3.5 so that would average out to a

also in my school unweighted gpa although they don't put any special weight on ap or honors courses they also include gym, orchestra, drawing, art, photography, etc.....our weighted gpa (the one sent to colleges) gives us extra weight on ap and honors but only counts our academic courses.

111 / 120 = 4.11.... not 4.44. We use the same system, except that we convert it into 6.0 max.
