Is it Ok to have a high GPA with easy-sounding courses like "Descriptive Intro to Physics" and "Current topics in MCB" etc?

Concerning Haas, law school, transferring to ivies, etc.

Take whatever courses you need to maintain a higher GPA. I don’t think Haas particularly cares. But even if they do, it looks better to have a higher GPA with lighter course load than bad GPA with heavier course load.

Unlike the UCs and CSUs which are required to have a 40%/60% distribution for lower division and upper division students respectively to provide transfer opportunities for CCC students, Dartmouth and Williams are relatively small private schools that are extremely selective and have very low attrition rates since they rarely accept students who are not capable of doing college level work. As a result they have places for only an extremely limited number of transfer students.

With your GPA and proposed course work load I think that your chances of acceptance as a transfer student at either Williams or Dartmouth would be close to zero.

Lemaitre1: Ok, I understand. Thank you. How about Duke/Penn? (sorry I removed much info from my original post)

Duke/Penn aren’t much easier than Williams/Dartmouth lol.

Penn is supposed to be the easiest Ivy (along with Cornell) to transfer into

Williams/Dartmouth and LACs rarely accept transfers because of tiny class sizes. So yes there is a difference

I need a 4.0 in college is this possible.

how many semesters do you need it for? i think if you’re scrupulous you can hang on to one for 4 sem’s max. if you’re super pro and super sly, maybe the whole way. if you’re pro. super pro (contingent on your major i guess). idk, look up the stats for what % of cal kids graduate with 3.95+ gpa

why would you NEED a 4.0?!
