Do colleges consider your GPA more or your transcript? I would imagine they look more at the actual grades than the numerical GPA just because every school seems to have a different scale. Like, for example, I made B's in two art classes, making my GPA much lower that the rest of my grades indicate. If a college considered the transcript more, they would see that I had good grades in the rest of my classes and hopefully not care too much about my art grades, since im not planning to do anything artistic and they were elective courses.

I’d say that transcripts are definitely more indicative of a student’s potential than their GPA alone. Someone who has a perfect GPA but has done so by taking the easiest classes that their school offers is going to be less impressive to an admissions officer than someone who has maintained a good GPA while taking on some challenging courses. As long as your transcript shows that you’ve challenged yourself and been mostly successful, I don’t think a B or two in art would be a deal breaker.

Yeah colleges usually know the level of difficulty of your classes and know which grades are good/bad.
