GPA - weighted or unweighted?

My d just created an account on UNC Chapel Hill website to open her college application. It asked for GPA but did not specify weighted or unweighted GPA. Does anyone know which one to use (weighted or unweighted)? Thank you.

probably unweighted since it’s universally the same. Weighted GPAs vary by high school.

I would definitely put weighted. If that is the GPA her HS uses, that is the one you should put on the application.

From what I remember there was a spot for both on the UNC app, but that was 2 years ago. If there isn’t a spot for both go ahead and put the weighted gpa. Most colleges recalculate your gpa based on your transcript for the purpose of admissions. It might not hurt to call or e-mail the admissions office to be sure though. They are all really helpful over there.

I would agree that contacting the admissions office would more than likely the best option. Although, I could have sworn that I remember a spot for both.
