GPA: Weighted/Unweighted?

I’m an out of state student from Georgia. Does UNC Chapel Hill consider weighted or unweighted GPA?
I’m a junior right now and my unweighted GPA is 3.6 and weighted is 3.98. I know it is hard to consider chances without extracurriculars/standardized testing, but just in general, is that GPA too low for UNC Chapel Hill?

Carolina consider both. Unfortunately, I think its kind low…

^ Agree. I think the common understanding is that they try to compare unweighted on a 4.0 scale when possible. Everything is relative to the school reports that are submitted by counselors.

My school runs on a 100 point scale so would they look at whatever is on the transcript or would they convert it to a 4.0 scale?

^ I do not know for sure, but I suspect they would first compare your GPA to that of your classmates and include your course rigor in their evaluation of your GPA. I imagine they do have some sort of conversion scale for those that are based on the 100 point system.

@rokun123
I’m pretty sure they do a conversion while also compare you to those on the 100 point scale
