GPA When Applying With Multiple Transcripts?

Hi there. my son has attended a few different college university's, but he's currently taking classes at a local community college. My question, which I hope someone can answer is: Will the University that he is trying to transfer to from the community college factor in all of the transcripts and grades together? or just look at the hours and the GPA from the most recent college, which is the community college he is at right now. He has a 3.6 after he retakes one class at the community college, but he has a 2.1 GPA from a different university. And at the university he got a 2.1 GPA he failed a couple higher level courses that he cannot retake at his Community College, because, obviously they do not have higher level courses.

Seriously, no one knows?

You’ll have to check the transfer admission web pages of his transfer target schools, or ask the schools directly.

When applying for transfer, colleges will consider all transcripts from colleges a student registered with. However, they’ll usually give greater weight to more recent transcripts so if there’s an upward trend in performance, that’ll usually factor into the favor of a given student.
