I stay in India and want to know how the GPA is exactly calculated.
I am in class 11, and when I will apply I would not have my class 12 mark sheet. So, how will the GPA be considered? Is it only on the class 10 board results?
Moreover, as I understand, GPA is average school % expressed in terms of a fraction with 4 as the denominator. If that is the case, in India, it is hard to score 70% in class 11 & 12. So, if the GPA in this case is 2.8, then it is hard to get into any college as I see 3.7 is very common.
Then how will the GPA of foreign schools be determined?
