I am trying to get into a good college but I do not have a high GPA 2.4. I was wondering what SUNY or CUNYs take low GPA’s.
Worst Case Senario: You get into a not so good college but do really well in all of your classes 3.7-4.0 GPA. Can you still get into Med School
What are the benefits of Pre-Med is it useless?
If your SAT/ACT is high enough you might be able to get into a four year college. Otherwise start at a CC. As far as getting in to med school they look at your GPA and your MCAT scores. Pre-Med is not a major but taking specific classes in conjunction with your major to meet Med School requirements.
If you have a compelling story, take a look at some private universities - GPA isn’t everything (people get into Harvard with 3.0 - 3.3’s even with low test scores - and that’s freaking Harvard).
Possibly take a look at the CSU’s and find your Eligibility Index.
^ Yes some (1% of accepted applicants) do get into H with a 3.0. They play linebacker and run a 4.0 40 or they have parents who have donated a building.
