Hello guys so what are my chances to raise my gpa from 2.2 to atleast 2.5 I have completed 71 credits out of 108 credits my low gpa is due to unfortunate life events that took my focus from my studies as well as laziness . I am an Electrical Engineering major I know that a 2.5 is bad but thats what I guess the maximum I can reach with 37 credits left. Thanks
There is not much information in your post.
One thing that concerns me is that if you are an engineering major then you are taking math classes. What you study in your next math class is going to depend upon what you had in your last math class. This makes me wonder how well prepared you are for your next math class.
Another thing that concerns me is that your post is a little bit sloppy in terms of things such as punctuation and having the right spaces in the right place. In engineering, you cannot be sloppy. Every little detail has to be correct. There was a bridge somewhere around about Minneapolis that was well built except that someone was sloppy and put in the wrong size of gusset plates, and then they added some extra concrete on the top of the whole thing. This did not work out very well.
I would recommend that you do not take another class unless and until you are ready to dedicate yourself to your studies. You should know by this point that you need to do better. Studying engineering requires a full concentration of your efforts. I also wonder if there are any classes that you can retake – both to improve your grade and to try to understand the material more thoroughly.
The good news is that if you can pull up your grades, universities do understand that some students start off weak and then pull themselves together. You need to focus very hard on getting A’s from now on.
