Gpa

How is GPA calculated in LSA?

You mean if you're a high school senior applying for LS&A or if you're a current university student?

I am a current university student.

For all graded classes, you will get a letter grade (A = 4.0, A- = 3.7, B+ = 3.3, B = 3.0, B- = 2.7, etc.) and that's multiplied by your credit hours to get your Michigan Honor Points (MHP).

Your cumulative MHP divided by # of graded credits is your cumulative GPA.

For example:

3-credit A = 12.0 MHP
4-credit B+ = 13.2 MHP
1-credit C = 2.0 MHP
4-credit B = 12.0 MHP

Total MHP: 39.2 MHP

credits: 12

Cumulative GPA: 39.2 / 12 = 3.266 (for some reason, they always round down)
