Gpa

Does getting an A- affect one's GPA differently from getting an A+?

generally a solid A is a 4, while a A- is a 3.77 or something to that extent. It is lower.

depends. at my HS an A+, A or A- is a 4.0 unweighted at my school, but I guess in college it's different? I think it's weird that at other schools A- is worth less than A.

^^Why should that be weird? An A- means you didn't do as well as those who earned an A, therefore it SHOULD be worth less.

at our school, a is 4.0, a+ is 4.333, and a- is 3.667. and it continues down.

At my college they don't give -/+, so an A- is a 4.0; however, they do calculate an A- as 3.67, B+ is 3.33, etc. on the transcript.

I think it's stupid to have a +/-...an A is an A

if they're going to do it for +/-s, then maybe they should just put it on the % system like they do at my school.

Yeah it depends on where you are.
At my school: 90-100 is a 4.0 UW
80-89 is a 3.0 UW
etc

Completely agree, there should be no + / -

WHY NOT JUST GO DOWN THE ALPHABET FOR EVERY SINGLE RANK.

A = 4.33 (97%+)
B = 4.00 (93%-96%)
C = 3.7 (90%-93%)
D = 3.3

ETC ETC WHY ADD + / -? ITS NOT LIKE WE DON'T HAVE ENOUGH LETTERS!!! USE THEM ALLLL!!!

is it the same for universities as well?

damn, i wish an a- counted as a straight 4.0 at our school. that would be so so awesome.
