Gpa

I am a sophomore in a public school right now, I am deciding to transfer to a private school next year. So to I take my GPA in current school to the account of college admission? I think I am kinda of cheating because I have 94 average now, but the private schools I am applying to have a strict grading system. When I go to my new school, do they accumulate my previous GPA into my classs rank?

Thanks.

It depends on your new school’s policy… but what most schools do is recalculate your old GPA based on how it’s calculated at their school, and add that into your GPA at your new school. Alternately, they may decide to base your GPA on your junior and senior year grades only, and not count the work that you did at another school.
