What is the difference between weighted and unweighted? Which one do colleges look at? Unweighted are the grades we get regardless of honors or AP right? I have taken some AP classes and received all As on both regular and APs. On my counselor recommendation, my counselor put down 4.0, but marked weighted instead of unweighted. Is this going to matter, or colleges will calculate GPAs themselves?

Some look at weighted, some unweighted. Some look at both if available. Weighted grades give more points for AP classes (e.g. 4 points for an A in regular, 5 points for A in AP), whereas unweighted is 4 points for an A in any class.

Well, your counselor really should change that--a 4.O weighted looks like you received B's.

Your understanding of UW is correct.
While some colleges will recalculate the GPA for their own system, they will probably take the GC's GPA as fact. I think you should have her correct this error by a note or email (get a copy for your records too).
