gpa

how do u calculate a gpa on a scale of 100?

Just set up a proportion. Let’s say you had a 3.8 GPA on a 4.0 scale. Then you’d try to find out what it would mean on a 100 scale:

3.8/4.0 = x/100

Solving for x, you get 95. So then your GPA would be a 95 on a scale of 100.

^Might as well tell him to divide by 25.

Explain how your GPA is calculated. Is it an average percent grade in each class? If so than convert like this.

93%+ = A = 4
90-92.9 = A- = 3.667
87-89.9 = B+ = 3.333
83-86.9 = B = 3

Do this for each class and then average those. For a general idea just take the 100-scale GPA and throw it into one of those categories.

If your 100-scale GPA is anything else, then I don’t know. Do it fledgling’s way or something.

^ how does this system really make any sense? doesn’t it mean that someone who gets straight 99’s and a single 92 looks worse than someone who got straight 93s?

Most places don’t weight differently based on A+, A, A- etc.
Besides, colleges will redo your GPA based off their scale anyways. Those who don’t will leave it as 4.0 point.

Why do you need to convert it? fledgling had the best method.

zoaxanthellae, yes it does. However that’s how most places (atleast I assumed that’s how most places, perhaps I’m wrong though) work.
