Gpa

Ok, I'm really really scared that my freshman year GPA might have screwed me up for life.

Freshman year GPA- 3.09
Sophomore Year GPA- 3.95
Junior Year GPA- 4.00

Average- 3.68

My Sat scores are in total 2300, abd I know that my recommendations are pretty good. I have lots of extracurricular activities, Piano, Art, Ballet, Clubs and Community service. Would my freshman year screw up my chances of getting into NYU, UC Berekely, Stanford, College of Virginia, Northwestern, and UPenn? I'm shooting for NYU and Stanford, but I'm afraid that my GPA score might hinder me. Can anyone give me some insight? What other colleges should I consider?

is it weighted or unweighted?

anyway, it wouldn't mess it up TOO bad.

It's unweighted. If it's weighted it would be somewhere around 3.73 or something similar.

it's not that bad, dude. calm down and have fun. work hard, play hard

freshman year is the most inconsequential of them all.

princeton and stanford don't even consider freshman year. even for activities and stuff. it says grades 10-12 only.

i heard colleges dont even take freshamn yr very seriously....your upward trend and great sophomore and jr years will make up for it and your sat scores are solid......hope that helps

Can you give me some insight? What would be some safeties and matches? My counselor just told me to 'ride it out', which was no help at all.

UC Berkeley does not repeat DOES NOT consider freshman grades at all, even though you report them.........they have absolutely NO consequence unless you didn't pass the class or something. Don't worry about that.
