I just finished the first semester; just wondering what is considered a good GPA in McGill? Let's say Engineering?

anyone please??

It’s a very broad question.

A good GPA is probably 3.5 or higher since that seems to be the cutoff for NRC funding and some lab internship positions in the school.

If I had to guess I would say the average in engineering is 2.7-3.0 (i.e. B- to B).

It’s all relative though, having research experience matters more than GPA for grad school, and knowing a prof and having their support gets you that experience just as well as a having a perfect GPA.

What courses did you take?

I’m in electrical engineering right now. My GPA is currently 3.8 and I’m looking forward to grad school. I really want to earn some sorts of scholarships but I don’t know to what range I should be aiming for.
