Gpa

Well, are you trying to get into a specific program at Columbia? If so, it gets much more competitive. In a situation as thus, your GPA would be scrutinized to a larger degree. That being said, Columbia is a extremely exclusive establishment. However, they look beyond just your GPA. Your Essays are a huge part of admissions as are your teacher recommendations. I would say that your SAT II’s are pretty impressive, though Bio is a bit lagging. You didn’t state your SAT score, which is a large part of the admissions process. I think that your GPA isn’t necessarily considered “bad” but it’s not “excellent.” It wouldn’t stop you from gaining admission into Columbia, and I think that’s what you’re asking but I’m not too sure. I’m also pretty interested in Columbia, and I’ve corresponded with their admissions office for a while now. They don’t just see you for your GPA, they look beyond that. Good luck.

^ I took bio in 9th grade (freshman) year with only an honors bio class. I plan on taking AP bio during my Senior year, but won’t have time and more importantly, don’t have the will power to retake it. lol
