GPB and MEB Double Major lower div requirements

Hope everyone's having a great break. I just had a few quick questions to ask quickly about lower div requirements for GPB and MEB.

Does my AP stat 4 fulfill the statistics requirement for GPB?
Does my AP bio 5 fulfill bio 1A for both GPB and MEB? (I know it's not recommended to AP out of that but I might do it anyway. Not sure yet.)
Does my AP calculus BC 5 fulfill both math requirements for both GPB and MEB?

Thanks a bunch!

See you all spring semester!

I can only answer your MEB questions.

The answer is yes to both of them, although its not recommended. I tried to avoid Bio 1A and did well in MCB 102 (took it in summer though), but then didn’t do well in MCB 104 so I went back and took Bio 1A this semester (4th year).

I still haven’t taken a math class at Cal.

AP Scores of 4 or 5 in the following subjects allow you to substitute prerequisite course work for the MCB major:
AP Chemistry
Chem 1A/1AL
AP Biology Bio 1A/1AL, Bio 1B

Both GPB and MEB (not MCB) are in the College of Natural Resources, so the AP credit policies should be as described under College of Natural Resources here:

[University of California - Berkeley](<a href=“University of California Counselors”>University of California Counselors)

However, you should contact the College of Natural Resources to be sure. Oddly, the College of Natural Resources does not have its AP credit policies in any obvious place on its own web site.

Yeah I looked at that page but CNR is a bit weird with their AP credit page. Some classes get AP credit that aren’t listed on that page. I sent an email to my counselor but I’m still waiting on a response since it’s winter break. Are there any GPB majors here that know is Stat 2 is fulfilled by AP Statistics?
