Grad Journalism: NYU or Columbia?

I'm probably going to apply for both Grad Programs, but I would be grateful if somebody could give me some more info about these 2 J-Schools (I know it is the first year that NYU has a Journalism Institute, so it's not exactly a J-school, but kind of...).
I'm an international student and had always considered Columbia as THE school of Journalism, but I've been checking the Master programs at NYU and I must admit that I found them really attractive... What do you think? Is the difference between NYU and Columbia in Journalism so big as in many other fields? I got the feeling programs at NYU are somehow more specialized and... let's say they have a "fresher perspective". I liked that many Professors there still write for the most important magazines at the same time as they're teaching (but probably it's the same in Columbia...).
I'm quite sure about taking a Magazine Writing specialization, either at Columbia or at NYU, but what is your apinion? Which one would you recommend me?

I think the one at Columbia more famous (Second Journalist School that opened in the US). Harvard is also a very good school for Journalism (it seems like a lot of journalists are from there). However, I suggest you to look into the program details and the classes you can and are required to take for journalism. These are really the only differences and it's based on your preference.
