<p>It's good that you're looking forward, but make sure that you aren't so focused that you let your undergrad years pass you by...they'll be some of the best times of your life. I can't speak specifically for Physics, but those lab positions are a good start. Eventually it would benefit you to undertake some personal research in the form of an undergrad thesis or a research seminar that provides an advisor and requires and extended research paper...no need to worry about that yet though. Save it for your 3rd or 4th years and network in the meantime.</p>
