GRAD School Chances.

Hi all,

I'm a Computer Science Major at SUNY Buffalo.
My overall GPA is 3.54
Computer Science GPA 3.62
GRE - 1480 = V - 700 and Q - 780
I've also done undergraduate research(independent study) on Assistive Technologies and Data Mining.
I have 1 good and 1 excellent Letters Of Recommendation.
I have been a Resident Assistant for 2 years and a bunch of other extra-curriculars.
I'm am thinking about applying to Computer Science programs (database systems or data mining) of Cornell,Columbia,Texas A&M,UNIVERSITY OF MICHIGAN AT ANN ARBOR and California Berkley.I know that I am aiming high, and my GPA is not that great, but do I have a chance in these schools.

You have a good chance and will in all probability be accepted to atleast 1 program. You could really improve ur chances if you can publish some of your research.

thanks floppydrive..
others please let me know what you think or any suggestions will be much appreciated.

The application process for Computer Science PhDs is EXTREMELY competitive at top schools. You need a very clear focus for your future research, ideally at least one publication, as well as strong recommendations.
