CGPA (so far) 3.0
Research Experience: 4 months at ASBLAB Robotics Research with Prof. Goldie Nejat</p>
<p>I am wondering if there are any grad schools in US which would take me to do a FUNDED (or cheap tuition for internationals < 10000$) M.A.Sc in Mechanical Engg. Focusing on robotics or biotechnology.</p>
<p>If so, What GRE score would i need for them? </p>
<p>For some reason i feel i can not go to grad school anywhere in North America with the grades I have.</p>
<p>Funding for master’s degrees is harder to come by than aid for a doctorate, and with your GPA on the borderline to begin with, it might be tough to find a funded slot.</p>
<p>Your best bet is to speak with your advisor and see what advice he might have - perhaps he can pull some strings or at least point you in the direction of a program where you would be competitive.</p>
<p>@ Polar Scribe. Thank you for your advice. This is really helpful to know what really are my chances of doing funded M.A.Sc. Just following up on that are there not any smaller/ lower ranked schools which fund? </p>
<p>@Catria Thank you for giving me this information. I am wanting to do masters in Canada but they all want 3.0+ GPA in 3rd and 4th years separately which i couldnt get last year due to unfortunate circumstances. Are there any other schools you know of in Canada which fund Masters with low GPA’s?</p>
<p>Also reading more on this amazing forum, I learnt its possible to do Phd. straight after Bachelors? I am intending on going into industry based research OR Teaching, havent decided yet. Is that a option for me in US? please enlighten. thank you.</p>
