Grad School Recommendations

I am currently a Accounting and Finance major with a Math minor. I have really started to process and weigh my options about grad. school. What are some recommendations considering my undergrad pursuits?

You can always go to UF’s grad school lol, but if you, for whatever reason, want to go to another university look into the University of California system (mainly Berkley, LA, etc.), Northwestern (or Northeastern), or even University of Michigan.

If you want to go to grad school in Florida, I’d say just go to either UF or UM for grad school. Preferably UF since they have a stronger grad program (IMO, from what I know). UF and UM are the two best schools in the state. You can also look at FSU for grad school if you choose to, but I’d really stick with UF.

Definitely. It was more an inquiry on the quality of an MSF compared to a MAC. Considering the job market, opportunities, etc…

Hmmm…it’s hard to say…have you seen any grad schools with combined Master degree programs? I don’t know much about UF’s grad school, maybe they have one so you can get a Master’s in finance and accounting. TBH, isn’t the job market for finance and accounting quite strong right now?

I have a friend who’s getting his undergrad in finance and accounting VERY SOON and he wants to go to (I think) Northwestern. He told me that at least 2-3 years of work experience in his field is necessary to apply to Northwestern’s grad school, so maybe you can work 2-3 years (perhaps with Chase or Bank of America) and then apply to grad school. I’m no expert but yeah lol. Use the Career Resource Center at UF, they are amazing at this kind of stuff. I’ll be using them when necessary for sure lol
