I'm a senior at a local 4 year university right now. I'm a Sport Management major and college has been good lately but I started off slow. So now I want to attend Grad School but my afraid my bad grades will hurt my chance.(2.85 GPA/1150 GRE score/Internship with the U of Memphis Athletic Dept)

Your GPA might make it difficult for you to get past the initial admissions office screening, but don’t let that discourage you. Maybe make some contacts with prospective advisors that you most want to work with. If they like you, they may request your application regardless of what the admissions office decides. Each program/school is different though, and it will also depend on what else is on your resume and in your personal statement. You should discuss your strengths with your current advisors or faculty at your school who have the same interests and have already been through the process. They may also know a bit about the faculty at some of those schools and give some recommendations or advice about them.
