So, I got into Columbia's SEAS and am planning to study OR/IE to eventually concentrate in financial engineering.
I heard that ppl majoring engineering have lower GPA's than people doing other majors because of "grade deflation". Does this mean that engineering majors will be at a disadvantage when applying to grad school? Personally, I want to go to Law school or obtain an MBA.

P.S: How is Columbia's SEAS regarded in general by employers and grad schools? I am an international student so I really dunno...
