Grad schools/money issues

<p>Thanks for the suggestion. But at least in Germany (I don't know about other countries) those schools do not exist, except for the International University of Bremen, but it has very limited course offerings (regarding the fields of study). All the other private schools I know are business, law and fine art schools.
American style colleges would not fit the general German perception of the purpose of higher education, which is specialization in one field, usually as preparation for a certain type of job (law, engineering, education...) or for the sake of knowledge itself (history, philosophy), but no one thinks of college is a time to explore.</p>
