Grad. schools that offer fin aid to int'ls.

Can you name some?

It depends on your major.

I'm considering Computer Science

...or Library Science :D

May be easier in Comp Sci than Library Sci....there are usually very limited funds for students in Library Science programs from friends I know in these programs. Top schools for Library Science include University of Pittsburgh and UNC-CH...I'd check with your prospective schools before applying...

Really? Well, thanks! I have another question... It's regarding TA/RA's.

Can you apply for one once you're admitted or while you're on the graduate application process?

I have no idea how much stipend TA/RA's get so are the stipend enough to fund a graduate education or is it just for miscellaneous purposes (food, rent, etc.)?

As for RA's/TA's in my field you are automatically given them upon acceptance...so I'm unfamiliar about any 'application process'...

The stipend varies between schools, but usually is pretty decent enough to cover housing expenses. I've had to take out a small loan so far, but that was to get me out of my debt from summer after undergrad...most of my friends are in more debt than I, but I think they spend more than me...I'm pretty frugal...Also with most RA's/TA's along with the stiped you are granted tuition remission, meaning you don't have to pay for tuition. This can be tricky though as some schools make you pay student fees (for example, here at UNC I have to pay ~1200/year in fees...but they are inflated here...). But please check with the individual departments first...each school and each department/major deals with everything differently.

I see. Thanks a lot. BTW, by the application process I meant the time where you're waiting to be admitted to grad school. I didn't whether I should be accepted first before applying...
