Grad Student Housing

Have any newly-admitted graduate students received any word on Stanford on-campus housing? I just read that Axess opens on April 16th and that's when we can begin applying to housing. Anybody have any thoughts on the cheapest yet most comfortable grad school apts on campus (Escondido village?) Any insights would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks

My friend lived in Escondido village next to Manzanita. However, I don’t know the prices. Call S.=(

By reputation, Rains and Munger are quite nice. EV is not so nice, and Lyman is quite bad. (Actually, I’m not sure if Lyman is actually bad, or if its undesirability is due more to its location at the far west end of campus.)

I can personally attest to Rains being very nice. Seems to have good social life, too, judging from the one week that I stayed there.

Rains and Munger are really expensive (more than a $1000 a month per student), I live in DC and rent isn’t even that expensive here!

EV is where all the international students live. Rains is where all the social people live. Munger is where all the law and business students live.
