lets say i get a 65% on the average of all my tests and that makes up 70% of the grade. Could it be possible to pass if i get 100% on attendance (10%) and 100% homework (20%)

[Grade Calculator](http://www.conquercollege.com/gradecalc/)

It really isn’t a big surprise you are struggling in college algebra if you can’t figure this simple equation out:

Grade = (.65)(.70) + (1.00)(.1) + (1.00)(.2)
= .455 + .1 + .2
= .755
= 75.5%
= C

Also, if you are really getting 100’s on your homework then I would assume you are cheating in some way: copying a friends or using an answer key (online or a book). You aren’t doing yourself any favors by learning math that way. You’ve got to put in the work and do the practice problems on your own.

While I don’t disagree with anything you’ve said, Ominous, OP never even suggested that this was in a math related class.

Oops, just noticed another thread by the OP where they talk about algebra, my bad!

I’d add that at least in some math courses, the “homework” is extremely easy (100 attempts per online problem is not uncommon).

You can’t assume they’re cheating on their HWs…some classes have knockout tests like that. So, even if they understand the vital concepts needed for HW, tests still throw tricky stuff at you. It’s meant to knock down your grade, while the attendance is there to even it out ^^
