grade capping

<p>a few months ago, a wave of panic swept through the pton board because somebody heard that only a limited number of people per class would get A's. is this as bad as it seems? do you think this would affect one's chances of getting into a good grad school? or are other ivy's gonna follow up on this soon?</p>

<p>35% actually sounds like a lot to me. Isn't it true that even the lower UCs keep A's to the top 15%? </p>

<p>While I empathize with the pre-law/pre-med kids worrying about their GPAs, I think that it was Sakky who made an excellent point that this rule is better viewed as a kind of standardization across the boards. Personally anyway, I would be more miffed that other people are getting easy A's in other classes than the prospect of having to work to a higher standard...</p>
