Grade curves?

I've heard that some classes at Berkeley use a bell curve grading system. Can someone explain what that is and how it works to me? Thanks!

Sorry ><, when I wiki’d it, I came up with this: [The Bell Curve - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia](<a href=“The - Wikipedia”>http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TheBell_Curve)

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bell_(instrument)

you coulda went to that by accident too.
you see the way that works is the teacher places the physical bell on a graph and traces it and says, that’s your curve guys.
