yeah, I'm asking the case if the school doesn't use A+, the highest score they give is A...
but LSAC GPA calculator does consider A+ as 4.333 points.

There’s no metric to make up for this.
If your school doesn’t offer A+'s, you’re at a loss.
Don’t worry, if you would’ve had a 4.05 and you instead have a 4.0, I’m sure you’ll still do fine.

hey even Crimson doesnt have A+, LSAC should change the calculate system, it’s just unfair.

“Until September 2003, Harvard will continue to use a 15-point scale for averaging its letter grades: A = 15, A- = 14, B+ = 12, B = 11, B- = 10, C+ = 8, C = 7, C- = 6, D+ = 4, D = 3, D- = 2. E, ABS, UNS, EXLD = 0. There is a one-point difference between the degrees of a letter grade (e.g., B+ = 12 and B = 11) and a two-point difference between letters (e.g., B- = 10 and C+ = 8)”

But cornell does have A+, as far as I know…

This is unlikely to make a significant difference to anybody.

Dude dont worry

How so?
but thanks a lot. at least I feel more certain about the GPA question…
calculus just killed my GPA last semester :'(

It doesn’t matter because an A is already a 4.0 and basically nobody gets (or would get) enough A+'s for it to matter. And if they DO have that many would-have-been-A+'s, then their GPA is already awesome.

^^ Yeap.

By the way, I didn’t say what I thought it should be, I said what it was.

Just curious is there any particular reason you mentioned Cornell…?

Actually, in my case it would have mattered quite a bit. Exactly half of my undergrad grades are A+'s and the other half are A’s. I would have had a 4.16, but have been told that because they count grades from all institutions ever attended (even non degree), it will end up around a 4.05. Turns out that a bunch of A’s from courses I took at a community college at age 13 coupled with those from college credit courses really bring the average down. Not entirely sure that A’s in 200 level Comp Sci/Engrng classes taken when 13 years old really are a good indicator of much, but I digress. Perhaps it will help to mention that in the PS?

Trust me, the 4.05 won’t close any doors that the 4.16 would have opened.
