Grade deflation @ Vandy?

<p>I heart that Vandy has a GPA deflation. Is that true?</p>

<p>While some similarly selective schools have slightly higher average GPAs, I don’t think it’s grade deflation at Vanderbilt so much as it is a student body with increasingly high stats.</p>

<p>For the fall 2010 semester, the average all-campus undergrad GPA was a 3.34. For freshman men (their first semester at Vandy), it was a 3.13; for freshman women, it was 3.28.</p>
