Can someone please explain this grade deflation concept to me? I’ve seen it all over the BU posts and I don’t understand it.

It’s not a true thing.

But basically they are saying that grades are down curved for the school to maintain a rough academic rigor. However after being here for 3 years I can say that this is complete bull ****.

This grade deflation you see mentioned in the posts are grades that students feel they didn’t deserve. So basically it’s a scapegoat for people who find the material tough and don’t want to admit that they didn’t study enough to get the grade they wanted.

Anyways like any school there will be easy professors and some professors who put insane material on their exams, just ignore the grade deflation and just study hard and you won’t have anything to worry about for your future!

I agree completely.

Oooooh. Great, thanks for the explanation! :)
